The Mission of HUYS is to foster a sustainable soccer program affording each participant the opportunity to increase their soccer knowledge and skills.

Specific goals of HUYS include:

• Continuously encourage player and parent volunteerism and a method of soliciting constructive input from players and parents regarding any and all aspects of the HUYS program.        
• Demand of all player participants, parent participants, other participants, both of Hull and its opponents, a commitment to foster good sportsmanship, fair play, and competitive matches so as to maximize the thrill of competition and the fun of playing the game.
• Build and maintain an "In-Town" program capable of developing the knowledge and skills of all players from an entry level "Guppy" age to an under-10 ("U10") age, and a "Travel" program capable of developing the knowledge and skills of all players from U10 to U19.
• Build and maintain a coaching program capable of developing the knowledge and skill of all participating coaches and parent-coaches, enabling those coaches and parent-coaches to grow from coaches of Guppy In-Town teams all the way through U19 Travel Teams.
• Build and maintain a sound financial foundation capable of independently supporting the combined costs of approximately two full year's worth of seasonal expenses in addition to the full cost of various longer term equipment purchases, playing field maintenance or improvements, and/or other envisioned program changes.
